Porto Koukla is a tourist resort situated next to Agios Sostis, in the gulf of Laganas. It is a traditional Greek village with plenty of greenery.

Winding little roads lead you to the beautiful sandy beach through olive trees. Some sunbeds and a few quiet beach bars are found nearby but it is mainly a peaceful choice for swimming and sunbathing. Small boats leave from this beach and take you to Marathonisi Island, also known as Turtle Island, where the endangered Caretta Caretta turtle lays its eggs. You can also find some traditional tavernas, restaurants and a few tourist shops dotting the area.
