The Askos Stone Park is located on the north side of Zakynthos (Zante), 1km from the port of St. Nicholas at Volimes.
It is a large area from which guests visit about 1/5. The rest is used for grazing the animals, producing their food and cultivating many different fruit trees.
Here, visitors can see all the flora and fauna of Zakynthos Island, about 200.000 plants, bushes and trees and hundreds of animals that live freely in their natural living conditions.
The park's area contains several stone structures, like old stables, basins cut into the rock for water collection that date back many centuries and a lot of constructions using stone and wood, in harmony with the natural environment.
